Our Treasure Awaits

God is looking to unlock destiny in us. The key is intimacy with Him. The world looks to seduce us away from engaging in intimacy with the Father. It has all kinds of substitutes that it seeks to get us to find fulfillment in. It even uses “good” things like ministry. Anything that has us seeking our fulfillment from it rather than from God is a seducer or counterfeit.

God is calling this generation to a place of intimacy with Him greater than any generation has ever walked in because it will be needed for the days we are walking into. This intimacy allows for the unlocking of secrets and treasures. Jeremiah 33:3 says to “Call to me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know”. The words “mighty things” in that scripture are from the Hebrew root word “batsar”, which means secrets, mysteries, and inaccessible things. Mysteries are waiting to be revealed in His presence. Treasuries are waiting to be unlocked. Inaccessible things will be made accessible to us. These things will be revealed in the secret place with Him.

There are things that God has been holding back that have been awaiting this generation of destiny.  Our destiny is intimacy with the Father in order to find these treasures. Seek Him and you shall find Him when you seek with your whole heart. Cast the seducers and counterfeits aside and find the real treasure that awaits you.

Season of new doors

We have definitely entered a new season as the people of God.  The winds of change have been blowing and continue to blow.  God is up to new things and we live in very exciting times.  God is also opening new doors for those who have been following Him.  A few months ago, the Lord began showing me new doors that my family would be walking through.  I actually saw doors, many of them, and was very excited to know that change was on the way.  One thing I have come to understand since then, though, is that some of these doors are not physical doors that we will walk through, but doors that we will walk through personally and internally.

God is doing some major internal work on His people now in order that we might fulfill our purpose and His plan for our lives.  Many have been stuck in a place that they have been unable to move out from.  For those that have been seeking Him, movement has begun again.  Things are becoming unstuck.  In the next few months, we will begin seeing situations change. As we continue to allow Him to make changes in our hearts and minds, we will begin seeing things differently.

The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy.  We know this, yet we do not totally understand it.  When the enemy comes in and attacks us as children, it is for the purpose of stopping us from fulfilling our purpose.  Attacks of rejection, abuse, sickness, and others are not just to stop us for that moment or cause us pain.  The devil has a greater reason for these attacks. They are to stop us in our tracks and keep us from going forward.  Many have not become who God called them to be because of rejection. They fear stepping out or even dreaming of stepping out and the root of it is the rejection they suffered as a child. This is the day and this is the hour for the redemption of our past.  Our past will not go forward with us into our new season.

You have authority over all the power of the enemy.  You have authority to trample on serpents and scorpions.  You have the power to overcome. You are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. Allow the pain of your past to be put under the blood of Jesus today and ask God to destroy its power over your life once and for all. Allow change to spring forth in you. Release your past and step forward into your future.

Shaking, but not shaken.

The world is rocking and rolling all around us these days.  Economic change and global economies that are being crushed under the pressure of debt.  Personal economies being pressed to breaking points.  Governmental riots, upheavals, dissatisfaction, and disappointment.  The world is looking for someone to fix their problems and fill their emptiness.  The root of their problem is fear.  No one knows what is going to happen next.  No one can predict whether the economy is going up or down.  No one can tell the unemployed that they will have a job next week.  Seemingly, no one has the answers.

In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, Paul was experiencing the exact same thing.  He said “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed;  we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed”.  This is the salvation of the child of God in this hour.  We are shaking, but we will not be shaken if our foundation is sure and firmly planted in God.  Paul felt the emotion and the pressure of the situation, yet the perplexing situation did not bring Paul to an end.  He had victory over it.  It can be the same for us in this hour.  We can feel the pressure of what is going on around us, yet we will not be conquered by it.  Our answer is in being firmly anchored into the Word and Person of Jesus Christ.  Politically correct or not, He is our answer.  In fact, politically correct will not save anyone in this day and age.  It is time to get down to the basics of who we are.  We are children of God, covered and saved by the blood of Jesus.

Before God can send us out as lights in this world that is becoming darker by the day, He needs to be assured that we are firmly rooted in Him.  Allow your roots to grow deep in Him and His Word today.  Do not allow the fear of uncertainty to keep you off balance.  Press in.  Dig deep.  You may feel the rocking of the ship, but we will not be destroyed.

Kingdom Living

For us to be able to make an impact in society and culture for the kingdom of God, then we must have the kingdom of God active in our own lives.  Being a world changer, or an agent of change will not be something that is foreign to our own way of living.  It will flow out of who we are and what we are already doing in our own lives.

Christians have lived, for the most part, as though the commands of Christ were optional.  We forgive only if it suits our purposes.  Not because God commands us to forgive because we have been forgiven.  We love unconditionally only if those we are loving are nice to us.  Our outbursts of anger are excused because we think someone did something to deserve it.  We are just as angry and irritated as the rest of the world.

If we want to impact the world, then we must embrace the Word of God on a level that we never have.  The love of God must be an active power in our lives, not just a good slogan.  Ask God to show you areas in your life where you need more of the love of God.  Ask Him to show you parts of your personality that are not truly submitted to Him and His commands.  When we get transparent before God and allow Him to show us what change is needed in us, then we can become a force of change in this world.

Pursue love on a level that you have never pursued it.  Forgive on a level you have never forgiven.  It is time for us to take this life of the kingdom up a notch.  The world is waiting on us.  Grace is being poured out in this season to see where we need to change and to understand how to engage the change.  You can do this.  You are being called to more in this hour.  The kingdom of God needs fearless lovers of God to express this love to a world that is crying out for hope in the midst of chaos and disorder.

The Paradigm Shift is Here

For years I have been hearing from God that a paradigm shift was needed to move us into His next big move.  A paradigm shift is a change from one way of thinking to another.  It is a revolution of thinking, a transformation of our minds, and a complete turnaround in the way we speak.  It does not just happen, but rather it is driven by agents of change.  That paradigm shift is here.  God is causing us to understand that what we “see” determines where we “go”.

When the Lord told Moses to send the spies in to the Promised Land, He told them to go and “see what the land is like.”  He then also said Oh yeah,  “bring back some of the fruit of the land.”  He wanted to know what they thought of the new land they were going to.  What they saw and perceived about the land determined if they would be able to go up and take it.  The spies brought back all of the bountiful fruit, yet in their report they included the bad report about the giants in the land.  Caleb and Joshua were the only ones who came back with a good report of the land that God was giving them.  They said “Let’s go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”   The remaining spies kept giving bad reports of the land, saying that the land was a land that “devours its inhabitants.  We are like grasshoppers in their sight.”

This attitude and thinking made God angry.  He said to Moses, “How long will the people reject me and not believe me?”  He went on to say that “because all these men do not believe me with all the signs and wonders I have performed among them, they shall certainly not see the land of which I swore to their fathers.  But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him, I will bring him into the land and his descendants shall inherit it.”  God went on to say that the “carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in the wilderness,  except for Caleb and Joshua you shall no means enter the land.”  The very men who returned and and made complaints to the congregation by bringing a bad report of the land, died by the plague of the Lord. Numbers 13-14.

What are you seeing and speaking about your future and present?  Are you complaining and murmuring about lack of money, about sickness, your job, or your family?  Are you making your bills look like giants in the land that are too big to overcome?  Are you focusing on kids that are on drugs that you can’t talk sense into and can’t see how they will ever change?  Are you frustrated with your sick body, your grouchy husband, your broken down car….well, you get the point.  Caleb and Joshua saw the same giants that the other spies did,  but they looked at them differently.  They looked through eyes of faith which told them they could overcome them.  These giants were nothing against the Living God.  The things you are looking at are nothing in the sight of the Living God either and you are well able to overtake them.  Change your thinking about what you see!  Change your perception of your situation!  How you ask?  Find out what the word of God says about your situation and begin speaking that out of your mouth instead of your problem.  Stop meditating on the negative thoughts and focus on the Word of God.  Get it in your mouth and speak it out daily.  Several times a day even.  Don’t give it up after saying it for two days.  You got yourself into this mess over a much longer time and it takes a little time to turn things around.  Hang in there and believe God’s Word works.

Hope Arise

It is time for hope to arise.  Hope in God is what will change this world.  In the midst of the circumstances that our world finds itself in, messengers of God will arise with an anointing of hope for this generation.  Mighty men and women of God, arise!  Arise to that which God is calling you too.  Rise above the situations that have endeavored to hold you prisoner.  The circumstances you find yourself in now were allowed by God to strengthen you, not destroy you.  They will be used by God, as much as you allow, to show you what He is made of.  Rise up and allow the fires of tribulation to destroy the yoke of bondage and bring a freedom that you have never known.   Look at the face of God right now and look into His eyes.  They are burning with a love for you that you cannot imagine.  Within their depths is the call of freedom.  The call of victory.  The call to arise.

Cry out to Him today like never before.  Seek His face like never before.  We are living in a new day.  We are in a new season.  This is a season to find Him as you have never found Him before.  This is a season to praise Him as you have never praised Him before.  As you do, you will find yourself in a new place and dimension of hope arising within you.  His love will overshadow you and completely envelope you as you rise up and worship.

Hope Arise!  For it is the time for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God.

Winds of Change

We live in a world where events seem to be happening at the speed of light.  No other generation has faced situations on such an extreme scale.  We are facing looming economic breakdowns worldwide, natural disasters of earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes and floods happening simultaneously.  Nations being brought to their knees by revolution such as we have never seen which are toppling governments that have been entrenched for decades.  The violence of drug cartels threatens our borders, job shortages, food shortages, rising gas prices and now to top it off, the fear of nuclear radiation.  This sounds suspiciously like a science fiction thriller.  It is not however.  It is the reality of 2011.  If you look at all that this generation has to face, it would be easy to throw up our hands in despair and declare that there is no hope.

I contend, however, that this moment is one that this generation was created for.  This is exactly the atmosphere in which God causes His world changers to emerge.  We are here for “such a time as this.”  We face one of the greatest opportunities the world has ever seen for the winds of change to blow.  Even as God placed Esther in the king’s palace for the moment in time when she would save her nation, God has placed you here at this moment to save yours.  It is time for the sons and daughters of God to arise and take their place and set in motion that which God has held in reserve for this moment in time.

The tide of destruction looming on the horizon portends that there is also a wind of change blowing in the heavenly realm.  It is time to surrender all that we are to the Spirit of God and allow His Spirit to arise in us and show the world who He is.
